Melinda

Melinda and her team leverage systems and relationships across the company to accelerate cash flow, improve data visibility, and align with the business on new service offerings. Melinda joined J.B. Hunt in 2002 while still in college, and over her 21-year career, she has held roles in human resources, pricing, marketing operations, and finance.

Originally from St. Louis, Melinda Perry relocated to Arkansas in 2002 to pursue her education. She earned a B.S. in Business Management from the University of Arkansas in 2005 and an M.S. in Intermodal Transportation Management from the University of Denver in 2013. Her commitment to learning continued in 2016 when she achieved a Board Service Certification from the University of Arkansas.

Actively involved at J.B. Hunt, she serves on the Inclusion Council and chairs an employee resource group focused on fostering an environment for all employees to feel comfortable, safe, and represented. Melinda is also passionate about helping women progress within the transportation and logistics industry. She helped start J.B. Hunt’s first employee resources group, GROW, dedicated to supporting women’s professional and personal success.

Melinda is a cancer survivor who has given back to her community by serving on the board of Hope Cancer Resources, which provides support and financial assistance to cancer patients in the Northwest Arkansas region.
